What makes Princess Maid Service Different from other House Cleaning Companies?

Our clients hire us because we are thorough. We use special treatments on floors and corners . Our Team Leaders are paid substantially more than the rest of the team, and they are vested with the responsibility to ensure that each assignment is performed in accordance with the client's requirements. If you are looking for the lowest-price service, please choose another company. If you are looking for consistent, dependable, conscientious, thorough service, please phone us.

Can I just try you once or use you only occasionally?

Absolutely.  Most such work is performed on an hourly basis at $35 per man-hour, and can usually be arranged on short notice.  Try us once as a fill-in -- we're confident you'll love us.

How do you charge for your Services?

Have you checked out the On-line Pricer, for a ball-park quote? If you plug a few numbers in, you can start to get an idea of how we set prices. Recurring assignments account for most of our total revenue, and  are mostly performed on a fixed-fee basis.  These fees are most often established by one of our managers giving you an In-Home Price quote.  The In-Home Price Quotes are based on our manager's estimate of how many man-hours it will take to clean your home. Once in awhile, we adjust the price after four weeks to reflect actual cleaning times. One-off housekeeping assignments are performed based on an hourly fee of $35 per man-hour.

How many cleaners will you send to clean my home?

We are flexible. Generally we send two, but if you prefer four, then it can generally be arranged.

What  happens if I am not happy with the cleaning.

Customers must call us within 24hrs of the cleaning.  We will make every effort to re-clean the area or area's that were not cleaned.

Will you always send the same people to clean my home?

We assign you a permanent Team Leader, who will change only under extraordinary circumstances. It's her job to keep you happy and ensure that your home is cleaned consistently to your specifications. Our turnover amongst our Team Leaders is almost zero. Amongst our other employees, it is also quite low based on industry standards.

Does Princess Maid Service provide cleaning equipment and supplies?

We Use Our Own Vacuums

Most homeowners have bad luck with loaning their vacuums to housekeepers, because vacuums require significant ongoing maintenance and occasional repairs. If you allow someone to use your vacuum regularly, then be sure they have agreed to maintain / repair it, because sooner rather than later, it will need it. We use and maintain our own vacuums (upright & backpack vacuums). They have very fine filters to keep the air in your home cleaner, and come with attachments designed to clean your furniture, curtains, corners and stair-risers.

We Provide Most Cleaning Supplies

Our cleaning supplies are primarily commercial products tailored for residential use. They are safe, non-toxic environmental friendly. Sometimes for Initial Cleanings, we use stronger products (such as "Ajax with bleach" in place of "Barkeeper's Friend" for corners of showers); such products are used only with special permission from the Team Leaders and are not part of the standard collection of products which will normally be brought inside your home. Our standard cleaning supplies do not include products containing ammonia, oil of any kind, bleach or wax. They are incredibly mild and can be used on fine fixtures and surfaces for years without wear or damage.

Special Product Requests

If you have a preference for a specific product which we do not carry, then we are happy to use that product in place of our own, but ask that you supply it. An example: we normally use ph neutral cleaner on floors. Some clients prefer a different product-no problem, but they have to stock it for us.

Please Provide these Supplies

There are several cleaning supplies which we do not provide: furniture polish (please provide the brand / type suited to your furniture); stainless steel cleaner (if you have stainless steel, then we need it--we don't carry it from house to house, because it is commonly oil-base); any marble / granite or other cleaners which may have been recommended for surfaces and materials unique to your home.

Does Princess Maid Service carry liability insurance and bonding?

We carry loads of insurance and all our employees are bonded. Princess Maid Service, Inc. is insured through Western Heritage Insurance Company. Insurance confirmation is available upon request. We carry the following coverage amounts:

• Liability - $1 million coverage per incident.
• Fidelity Bonding - $50,000 per occurrence. 

We are also specially insured for auto transfers. And of course, we pay worker's compensation insurance.
